Who We Are

Brett Battles, Co-Founder and CEO

Brett brings 25 years of leadership and success in developing successful early stage businesses and products. Brett co-founded EcoRebates in 2009 with a single goal: help the nation decrease its shocking residential energy consumption by enabling consumer to make smart product choices and buy fewer ‘appliance clunkers’.

Brett is also actively involved in helping other early stage clean tech entrepreneurs as the Mentor Chair of the Clean Tech Open. Prior to founding EcoRebates, Brett led product management and product marketing for the OEM division of NetApp, which he helped launch in 2005. While at NetApp, Brett was a thought leader on the growing trend of energy consumption in the data center and green IT product strategies. Prior to NetApp, Brett was a General Partner at Aberdare Ventures where his investments focused on SaaS, clean tech and internet-enabled retail solutions. Brett was also VP, Market and Business Development at Impresse Corp and a consultant at Mckinsey and Co.

Brett holds BA and MS degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a PhD from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering.
